Forest nets have found wide application in the construction industry, forestry and road engineering. They are used by both recreation lovers who care about the quick fencing of the recreational plot, as well as breeders of animals and cultivated plants. The forest net is used to fence fields, meadows, forest nurseries, it is also useful for military people to fence training grounds.

Cheap forest nets are also used en masse on construction sites, they protect investments against the entry of undesirable people and theft of material or tools. Such light, simple fences also work well in guarded parking lots, highways, expressways and water bodies: fish ponds, swamps and lakes.

Forest fence – what does its price depend on?

Forest nets have different applications and construction, and their price depends on:

• manufacturer (brand),

• thickness of guide and middle wires,

• weave density (meshing),

• mesh height,

• additional elements in the set (skoble, posts, steel wire).

The final price of a forest mesh fence is influenced by the cost of materials (mesh rolls, poles and skoble) and labor. It is labor that is usually the biggest expense. The rates may be different, calculated per hour of work or for the entire order, including: preparation of the area for the fence, impregnation of stamps, installation of the grid and execution of the entrance gate to the plot.

The cost of a forest fence: where will you buy it the cheapest?

If the price is the most important criterion for you when choosing a forest mesh, choose a roll with a height of 1.5 m, made of 1.6 mm galvanized wire. To fix the mesh, you will use ordinary, debarked pine and skoble stamps, available in sets of 100 pieces. Where can you buy the materials you need? There are many possibilities, and the price range is currently very wide, so before you go to the wholesaler, compare the rates of materials on the Internet.

In local stores or wholesalers, forest nets and stamps are relatively expensive, which is due to the high margin, delivery and storage costs. These materials cost more than products sold online directly by manufacturers. Are you afraid of the high cost of a large-size shipment? What is the price for a roll of forest net 50 m?

The prices of raw materials such as wood and steel are not constant, they increase on average by up to several percent per month. Forest net available from Polish producers, sold in rolls of 50 m, currently costs from 160 to 300 PLN. The cheapest, economical galvanized meshes with a height of 1.5 m and an internal wire diameter of 1.6 mm can be found on sales at a price of about PLN 3.5-4 per 1 m.

Are you looking for a high forest net? Rolls of 50 m with a height of 200 cm, a central wire thickness of 1.6 mm, made of 17 horizontal wires and a vertical spacing of 30 cm, cost about PLN 220. For a roll of galvanized wire mesh with a height of 160 cm and 22 horizontal wires you will pay the most: 300-310 PLN. Steel spikes will be used to fix the roller, at a price of PLN 5 per pack of 100 pieces.

Forest mesh fence: labor costs

Erecting a forest mesh fence does not require any specialized skills. It is enough to dig in the posts, and tighten the net and attach it with spikes to the stamps. So if you have free time, you can save a lot by building a fence yourself. Do you want to commission someone to make a fence? Be prepared for an expense of PLN 15-20 per working hour.

The most expensive will be the installation of a forest mesh fence made by the company. This is a completely unprofitable undertaking in the event that you put up a fence as a private person and the owner of a small building or recreational plot. Local companies usually provide an individual valuation, counting the gross amounts for each meter of fence.

Cheap forest fence: the cost of stamps 

To fence the plot with a forest mesh, you need the right amount of wooden fence stamps. They are cheaper than metal posts and do not require concreting in the ground. How much do forest mesh stamps cost? Their price, like the rates for steel products, is still increasing, and for 1 piece with a diameter of 6-10 cm and a length of about 2.7-3 m you will pay an average of PLN 8-13.

If you need a large number of wooden stamps for a forest mesh fence and do not want to overpay for their shipment, order them from a local, proven supplier. Also pay attention to the quality of the material: order only debarked and unused wood. You can buy debarked stamps at a price comparable to unbarked stamps – but you need to know that the cleaned wood will last longer and will not succumb to pest attacks.
