Cost of fencing a 1200 m2 and 1000 m2 plot of land

One of the first undertakings you undertake as the owner of a newly purchased plot is to build a fence. The purchase of fencing materials is a large expense, so before starting work you should carefully calculate the cost of such an investment. In this article we will present the estimated costs of fencing the plot of 1000 m2fence, 1200 m2 and more, using material in the form of wire mesh.

How to calculate the cost of plot fencing?

You want to put a fence on the plot and do not know where to start the cost calculation? Prepare a sheet of paper, a pencil and a land plot drawing from the district office (if you do not have a land plot drawing, you can use data from the government portal geoportal.gov.pl, including a distance measuring tool - but keep in mind that this information may not be up to date). Having the ready sketch in front of you, determine the length of particular sides of the plot and plan the place for gate i wicket. It is obligatory to make a site inspection on the spot and make sure that the area does not need to be landscaped.

At the stage of planning the construction of a fence first determine your budget and choose the type of fence. To calculate the cost of fencing construction you can use calculators available on manufacturers' websites. First make your own calculations, and only then use the ready estimates. Below we present approximate cost of fencing a 10 acre plot (we assume that it is a rectangle of 25 x 40 m, the price does not include the construction concrete foundation (we assume that it is a rectangle 25 x 40 m, the price does not include the construction of the entire length, the gate length including the gate is 5 m):

How to calculate price of fence on the plot of 1200 m2? Such a plot can be rectangular with dimensions of 30 m x 40 m. You should add the amount of posts, assembly accessories, concrete and man-hours proportionally. On average, you need 55 posts for an area of this size, the cost of concrete is about 700 PLN, and labour - from 5 to 6 thousand PLN, depending on individual arrangements and rates applicable in the region. Analogically you can calculate the cost of fencing the plot of 2000 m2for the calculation you will need the already mentioned map from the county office or a hand drawn sketch.

One of the biggest expenses when building a fence for a large plot of 1200 m2 is to buy a gate and wicket. How can you minimize this cost? Instead of a new, expensive gate, choose a used one and subject it to cheap maintenance with power tools and anti-corrosion preparations. You can buy dismantled gates from 500 PLN upwards, and their price depends on the size, technical condition, and location.

How much does it cost to fence in a plot of 3000 m2?

Fencing large building plots with an area of 1500 to 3000 m2, typical for rural or suburban areas, is not a cheap undertaking, especially if you plan to outsource all the work. Average costs of fencing the plot of 1500 m2 and larger, including all necessary materials and labor of outside companies, start from 10 thousand zloty, and the final amount is largely dependent on the quality of materials used and installation methods. Do you want to have a concrete or prefabricated foundation around the plot? Prepare a budget at the level of PLN 15-20 thousand.
