Be sure to organize an accompanying person, which will make it much easier for you to stretch the fence wire, as well as connect and fix subsequent batches of material.

• installation of clamps, tensions, grommets and tension wire (in the upper, middle and lower parts of the fence),

• spreading the mesh on the ground (in order to stretch and connect subsequent sections of braid),

• tension of the mesh (the procedure must be performed repeatedly: before putting on the mesh and after its attachment).

Before you start working in the field, complete the appropriate accessories, i.e.: clamps, tensioners (preferably galvanized), grommets, tie wire, transport belts and simple hand tools, pliers, pliers, meter.

Tensioning the wire of the fence mesh

On the initial posts , install clamps and tensioners in the upper, lower and middle parts, while in the others – use grommets with a built-in sheet metal screw. Start assembling the wire from the highest zone and make careful height measurements before fixing the clamps). How to stretch the fence mesh? To perform this simple operation, you  only need a tensioner mechanism, with a locking system that prevents the wires from retreating. Manipulating the tension crank is simple, but it requires the use of pliers, thanks to which you can wind the wire quickly and precisely. You can efficiently remove excess material with pliers.

How hard to stretch the fence wire?

The tension wire should be laid horizontally relative to the ground – it cannot hang down, because you will not be able to put the mesh on correctly. Check the tension with your hand on an ongoing basis and correct it immediately if you feel that there is too much slack left. Do not allow the mesh to come into direct contact with the ground and take care of its careful unfolding. In the process of assembly, use the support of your assistant, whose task will be to tension the wire at the opposite corner post at the same time.

After assembly, when the wire is already loaded with the mesh, it may fall slightly – then tighten it again – the point is to make the fence rigid and compact, because the more slack you leave, the less aesthetic and stable it will be. Tensioners will also serve you in the following years, thanks to them you will efficiently adjust the tension of the grid.

How to stretch the mesh on the posts?

Where to start stretching the fence mesh and how to put it on the fence? At its ends, resting on the ground, place the rods, threading them through subsequent eyelets. Lift the whole thing, hook the upper edges of the mesh to the wire, bending them with pliers, also connect the bars with the posts using clamps or tie wire (usually used in the case of working fences, temporary).

In the middle belt, use a wire fastening, and in the part adjacent to the ground, bend the steel tips and wrap them around the tension wire, previously threaded through individual eyelets. During assembly work, transport belts are extremely useful, which will successfully serve you to tension the mesh. How to tighten the fence mesh with their use? Apply the belts pointwise, every few meters, stretching the wire after each gearing.
